Math-checked · Actually crochet-able

Turn any idea into a crochet pattern that actually adds up.

AI Crochet Maker turns a simple idea into a stitch-by-stitch amigurumi pattern, checks every round’s math, and gives you a printable, couch-ready pattern.

Not just another AI image

The pattern is the product.

A cute render is nice. A row-by-row pattern that reconciles is what you actually need to finish the project.

How it works

Three steps. One pattern that adds up.

Start with a small, specific idea. The generator handles the shape planning and stitch math.

  1. Step 1

    Describe your idea

“A chubby duck wearing a strawberry hat.” Choose difficulty, hook, yarn, and terms.

  2. Step 2

    Generate & validate

The pattern compiler builds each part, then the validator checks every round’s stitch count.

  3. Step 3

    Crochet & track

Print the pattern, tick off rounds as you go, and keep your place without re-counting.

Built for real crocheters

From “what if” to “I made it.”

The details that turn a generated idea into a project you can actually finish.

Math-checked rounds

Every increase and decrease is reconciled against the previous round before the pattern is saved.

Materials & yardage

Yarn colors, estimated yardage, hook size, safety eyes, stuffing, and the small tools you need.

Print-ready pattern

A clean, readable pattern you can print or save as a PDF and take to the couch.

Interactive row counter

Tick off each round as you crochet. Your progress is saved in the browser.

US / UK terms

Switch between US single crochet and UK double crochet terminology without rewriting the pattern.

Structured, not sloppy

The LLM plans the character; deterministic code owns the stitch ledger. That is the difference.

Stitch verification demo

A live check of every row's stitch count before you spend time crocheting it.

FAQ

Questions crocheters actually ask

The short version: the pattern is structured, the stitch math is checked, and the image is only a preview.

Are these patterns actually crochet-able?+

The current build uses a deterministic shape compiler and validates every round’s stitch count. It is intentionally limited to small amigurumi so the math and assembly stay manageable.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT?+

ChatGPT writes text. AI Crochet Maker compiles each part from shape primitives, calculates every increase and decrease, and rejects any pattern whose counts do not reconcile.

What sizes and skill levels are supported?+

The first release focuses on small amigurumi, roughly 8–18 cm, from beginner to intermediate. Advanced shapes and clothing are still in beta.

Can I sell finished items?+

Single patterns are for personal use. The Pro plan is planned to include a commercial license for finished items; it does not allow reselling or repackaging the pattern itself.

Do I need an account?+

No. You can generate and preview a pattern without an account. Sign in when you want to keep it in your library, sync row progress, unlock the full ledger, or download the PDF.

Will the AI image match the finished toy?+

No. The image is a concept preview, not a photo of the finished object. Your yarn, hook, gauge, and tension determine the final result.
