Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to generate patterns, keep your library, process payments, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data. Your saved patterns are private by default, and public seed patterns never include your account information.

What we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and authentication records if you sign in.
• Pattern data: the idea you enter, the generated design brief and pattern, validation results, and the settings used to create it.
• Progress data: completed rounds and notes if you use cloud sync.
• Payment data: order and subscription records. Card details are handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: page views, generation events, errors, and approximate device/browser information.

AI processing

When you generate a pattern, the text idea and structure settings are sent to the configured AI provider so it can produce a structured design brief. The deterministic pattern compiler and validator run on our servers. AI providers process the request under their own terms and privacy policies.

Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in a pattern idea. Ideas are used to generate the requested pattern and may be retained with the saved pattern for reproducibility and support.

What we do not collect

• We do not ask for or store payment card numbers.
• We do not use your private patterns as public seed content without permission.
• We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies for sign-in sessions, locale preference, and theme. Analytics, when enabled, records aggregated usage and error events. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; sign-in and saved patterns may stop working if session cookies are blocked.

Retention and deletion

• Saved patterns remain until you delete them or your account is removed.
• Generation logs are kept for a limited period for debugging, abuse prevention, and cost accounting.
• Order and payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated patterns at hello@aicrochetmaker.com. Some records may be retained where law requires it.

Your choices

You may access, correct, export, or delete your account data, and you may ask us to stop non-essential processing. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The updated date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
